STRENGTHS:. J has the ability to project sharp objects through her skin such as needles, quils and nails of sorts. They come out of any skin on her body and she can choose to localize it to one hand or any patch of skin. She also has the ability to make them secrete different toxins that can cause various side effects.
WEAKNESS: This power is pretty effective as far as defense. Though as far as offensive its basically useless unless she is actually physically touching you. She is vulnerable to all attacks and weapons. This power is inconvenient because she tends to lose control and can harm people around her.

OVERALL. Jay was born into a middle class family of mutants. She had a pretty happy childhood and excelled in school. when she grew up they sent her to college and she became a veterinarian. One night on the way home from a house call she was in a bad car accident when a drunk driver ran a red light. For a month she was in a constant coma due to head injuries.
When she finally woke up she had no memories of her family or life before hand. When everything became over whelming she lost control of her powers and injured a nurse. From there on she was a bit on the violent side and her family signed papers to admit her into a mutant mental hospital of sorts. Once there she became even more violent and eventually escaped after killing one orderly. Ever since shes been on the run from a past she doesn't remember.
